The power of prayer –

A lot has happened over the last 8 days, some highs, some lows – some laughter, some tears.

More on that in next post. Over the last three days, mom’s pain has culminated to such a level this afternoon that we landed back at the ER. Mom has now been admitted, due to a partial bowel obstruction which is causing this incredible level of pain in addition to the “cancer pain”. Surgery is thankfully not needed at this point however mom requires hospitalization in order to manage the pain and monitor the obstruction. A conversation with the gastroenterologist will be needed in order to assess what the next steps will be. And so another visit at the hospital begins, and more people will get to hear mom tell them “God Bless You” when they care for her. We also got a cot in her room and one of us will be able to stay with her overnight which we all feel most comfortable with right now.

Please keep mom and all of us in your prayers -she has such high pain tolerance but this afternoon it became intolerable for her. Only she knows the agony she is experiencing but witnessing it is heart-breaking for all of us. Please pray that mom and all of us are graced with increased faith, continued strength and renewed hope as we face these various challenges and symptoms. Please pray that God provides for mom’s every need. We believe in the power of prayer. Thank you.
